The guardsmen make a brief search of the parlour and its adjoining rooms. Fortunately, neither of them thinks to look in the closet where your clothing and equipment is hidden. When they are satisfied that they have not missed anything they call off their search and leave, dragging their yelping dog behind them. Delissa stays in the yard and waits until they have all left; then she quickly returns to the parlour and locks the door behind her.
