You turn and sprint across the drawbridge towards the distant archway, but as you are nearing its centre, you hear the bridge bell ring out in alarm. Moments later, a score of guards appear at a parapet above the entrance to the inner keep, and an icy dagger of fear stabs your heart when you see that they are armed with loaded crossbows. The guard sergeant screams an order to these men to open fire and, in a terrible instant, you are cut down by a volley of deadly steel bolts.

Tragically, your life and your mission end here, on the drawbridge to the inner keep of Skull-Tor.
