The Darke Crusade

Footnotes

[1] (The Story So Far … ) The Drakkarim land of Nyras has been referred to as ‘Nyraz’ in previous publications. We have left it as it stands in this book due to its consistent use here and under the assumption that the author intended this name change.

[2] (The Game Rules) The Discipline bonuses mentioned do not affect your permanent scores. If you have completed previous adventures, the Disciplines that you have mastered may still be beneficial. See the Grand Master Rules section of the Readers’ Handbook for details.

[3] (The Game Rules) If you have completed any previous Lone Wolf Grand Master adventures, remember to choose an additional Grand Master Discipline and add +1 to your basic COMBAT SKILL and +2 to your basic ENDURANCE for each adventure you successfully completed (cf. Grand Master Disciplines).

[4] (Grand Master Disciplines) Weaponmastery bonuses are replaced by Grand Weaponmastery bonuses, not added cumulatively (cf. Lone Wolf Club Newsletter 28).

If you have completed previous adventures, already possess the Magnakai Discipline of Weaponmastery with Bow, and have reached the rank of Mentora, it seems that you should already be able to add 5 to numbers picked from the Random Number Table (i.e. the basic Weaponmastery with Bow bonus of 3 added to the Mentora bonus of 2 for all missile weapons). Likely, the author intended the Weaponmastery bonus at the Mentora rank to be a ‘hidden loyalty bonus’ (cf. Lone Wolf Club Newsletter 28). In view of this, the +2 Mentora bonus is therefore not cumulative with Grand Weaponmastery with Bow.

[5] (Section 5) This section represents the correct answer to the dragon door lock in Section 221.

[6] (Section 25) Only turn to Section 315 if you met Captain Prarg at the Battle of Cetza.

[7] (Section 40) This section represents the correct answer to the octagonal door lock in Section 89.

[8] (Section 72) This section is unreachable and superfluous since it is equivalent to Section 349 and Section 185. It has been rewritten in the Collector’s Edition to almost parallel Sections 29 and 287 by adding an extra option for the Random Number pick from Section 86.

[9] (Section 89) The section corresponding to the correct answer will have a footnote confirming that it is indeed correct.

[10] (Section 190) It seems logical that you should deduct 1 ENDURANCE point due to this use of Kai-surge.

[11] (Section 194) This section is unreachable and superfluous since it is equivalent to Section 19 but less complete. It has been rewritten in the Collector’s Edition to almost parallel Sections 269 and 77 by adding an extra option for the Random Number pick from Section 345.

[12] (Section 221) The section corresponding to the correct answer will have a footnote confirming that it is indeed correct.

[13] (Section 290) Since ‘any attempt to pick this lock could prove fatal’, you may elect to view this use of Kai-alchemy as optional rather than mandatory as the original text suggests.

[14] (Section 312) It seems logical that you should deduct 1 ENDURANCE point due to this use of Kai-surge.

[15] (Section 315) This description does not match the events described in The Dungeons of Torgar. If you had led the Prince’s reserves to help save the Eruan Palace Guard, you would not have met Captain Prarg (see Section 284 and subsequent sections). What you did together with Prarg was gather scattered soldiers to help save the Lencian knights in their struggle at the bridge (see Section 163, Section 148, and subsequent sections).
